ARTREACH Summer Program Information
Recovery Done Simple (RDS) is proud to introduce ArtReach, a free community-based street art program designed to engage at-risk youth through creative expression, mentorship, and positive community connection. This program will provide participants with hands-on instruction in graffiti and street art from experienced, respected artists while fostering confidence, discipline, and artistic growth.
Materials Provided
Each participant will receive:
• A personal blackbook (sketchbook) for practice and concept development
• A canvas to develop a finished piece over the course of the program
All necessary art supplies will be provided at no cost to participants.
Program Goals
• Provide a safe, constructive creative outlet for at-risk youth
• Teach foundational and advanced street art techniques
• Build mentorship connections between youth and established artists
• Encourage self-expression, confidence, and community pride
• Showcase youth talent through a public art exhibition

Program Structure

At the conclusion of the program, participants will present their completed artwork in a public gallery exhibition. This event will celebrate their achievements, give them a platform to share their voices, and bring the community together in support of youth creativity.
Culminating Event: Youth Art Showcase

Participants will be taught by established street artists:
• Bread
• Past
• Dume
• Hyph
• Zerbe
These artists will guide students through sketching, lettering, design, color theory, and practical street art techniques, while also sharing personal experiences and insights from their artistic journeys.
